Books: A Song of Ice and Fire

I recently started buying and reading the series: A song of Ice and Fire, some of you might know this as The Game of Thrones. The series of books have recently been adapted into a TV series named after the first volume. I decided to start reading this series as I attempted it a few years ago, but being quiet young never made it through the first book. The TV series inspired me to take up the books again and to be perfectly honest I really wanted to know what happened next. The TV series was really gripping and the books themselves are no different. There is constant intrigue, double crossing, deaths, opportunism and everything else in between. So far the books have never failed to have me on the edge of my seat and on more than one occasional become vocally surprised at the way the story has turned. I am currently on book 4 and have book 5 parts 1 and 2 to go. I recommend them to anyone who likes the TV series.

This is what my jumper looks like so far. Not much… I had done more but completely messed the pattern up (not as easy as I first thought) and so I had to start again.

I will finish the jumper even if it takes me a very long time!

Finished Valentines Project

Surprisingly with everything that has been going on, I did manage to finish my project and on time. The idea was to create a scrapbook that will hold mementos from my travel adventures with Kai. The first part has been filled out with things from our trips to Brussels. Plenty of space has been left for our next adventures!

Been away for a while

So it has been literally months since my last blog post. I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life and everything else kind of got pushed to one side. I recently lost someone very close and very important to me and did my usual thing of shutting out everyone else so I could process and deal with what was going on. I’m over that stage now and it’s time to get on with getting back to my life. Complications, work, learning to drive, joining a gym and everything else in between. So here I am, back to writing about my crafts, what I’m reading and soon my first proper trip away! After a few flight hiccups it is finally nearly take off time for some much needed adventuring in another country!

I can’t wait!
